We conclude the first succesfull year of exhibitions at TABLOO with an expo (November-December 2014) of the paintings made by Leo Loedts, an allround artist from Heverlee. Leo was born in Etterbeek in 1942 and has already 54 years of artistic experience. He first studied at the high school Sint-Lucas for fine arts in Brussels and afterwards at the academy of Louvain.
Leo was lucky that he could make his job from his passion. After a career as comic artist (contributor) for some Flemish comics such as Jommeke and Kramikske and as graphic publishing designer in several projects, he still develops his creative skills at the age of 72 as landscape and portrait painter. With his iPad as source of inspiration and by doing on line courses in painting techniques, he still follows all innovations looking always for new ideas. Leo prefers to paint with acrylics starting from a fixed image. He likes nature, the forest and animals.
