From January 2014 some works of Lieve Ophalvens will brighten TABLOO’s white walls during two months. Lieve exhibits her work since 1997 and she took courses at different workshops. She was teached by several academic painters.

Shape, passion and colour are the main components of her work. The human being is the most important element. Eyes and lips are sensually visualized in close-up to express the feelings of the personages. Colourful background compositions enclose a typical face, building or figure. A range of colours and relief giving materials, are assembled to create atmospheres. Her portrait paintings are especially composed of oil colours, but she also experiments with other techniques such as acrylic, marbling and collages.
